The CW Adds Midseason Series "Eight Days A Week"
Sources are confirming The CW has picked up the comedy pilot "Eight Days a Week" and ordered 13 episodes of the series for midseason. "Eight Days A Week" stars Christina Milian and Mario Lopez who are part of a group of twentysomethings who work in New York City.

I hate their schedule, I'm a Veronica Mars fan, I don't see why the CW or any network would want to have a Top Model encore weekly. The CW should of used that spot to renew Veronica Mars, or Veronica Mars:FBI...

CW is in such a mess, especially Sundays and partially Mondays...

Here is what I think the CW should do next season -
Sunday 7:00 Smallville encore 8:00 Life is Wild (NEW) 9:00 America's Next Top Model encore
Encore of pretty much any show does better than CW Now and Online Nation, so if Life is Wild isn't cancelled and isn't moved, they should surround it with repeats of CW's top shows.
Monday 8:00 The Game 8:30 Aliens in America 9:00 New Comedy 9:30 Everybody Hates Chris
With the game leading the night off, CW will start out solid and end the night with Everybody Hates Chris, the other solid CW comedy on Monday. If Aliens in America isn't cancelled, then it should either stay at 8:30 or move to 9:00. Girlfriends should be cancelled by next season.
Tuesday 8:00 Supernatural 9:00 Reaper
Although risky, because Supernatural isn't the best show in the ratings, but having two supernatural shows on the same night can grow an audience, similar to when Buffy and Angel were on Tuesdays back in the day on the WB.
Wednesday 8:00 America's Next Top Model/One Tree Hill 9:00 New Drama
America's Next Top Model shall stay put, it does well here no matter the competition. By putting a new drama here, it can try to be a good lead-out show for America's Next Top Model, something that Gossip Girl should be doing.
Once midseason comes up and if they wait to premiere One Tree Hill like they did this year, it can replace America's Next Top Model's slot. If the new drama does well after America's Next Top Model during the first half of the season, maybe it will do well after One Tree Hill.
Thursday 8:00 Smallville 9:00 Gossip Girl
This combination is just like the successful combination of Smallville and Gilmore Girls, except Gossip Girl is a tad different in comparison in that its not about a mother-daughter relationship. Smallville, like WWE and America's Next Top Model does well here. Maybe one more season or so to launch/help shows after it will do its duty till the end of the series.
Friday 8:00 WWE Smackdown
Just like America's Next Top Model, it does well here no matter what.
Midseason Notes:
Any of the new reality that it has this year is stupid.

For 2008 - 2007
Sunday - 7:00 - NEW SHOW(in vein of WB sitcom) 7:30 - NEW SHOW(in vein of WB sitcom) 8:00 - NEW SHOW 9:00 - Encores
I would suggest taking off the ANTM encores and at least try something new there, but the Desperate Housewives/Family Guy competition is pretty tough. Cancel Life Is Wild and put a new show there that isn't like anything else at 8. The CW needs to counter program at 8. Instead of having a family show competing against a big time family show with a lot of the same audience(Extreme Makeover), the CW needs a non family like show in that slot. And the 7 to 8 hour should have something new there. Encores have done better in the past than the shows there now(although AIA repeats fell to 0.7), but something new should do a little better.
Monday 8:00 - Everybody Hates Chris 8:30 - Aliens In America 9:00 - The Game 9:30 - NEW SHOW
Monday night stays mostly intact. EHC isn't a ratings winner, but it has stayed consistent in that slot. AIA has shown some growth there as well. The Game inherits the departing Girlfriends spot, and a new show follows The Game. The Game has been leading the night since it's premiere this season, although that changed this week, with EHC winning for the night. Since it appears that The Game is doing well without much lower rated GF leading into it, it could be a good lead in for a new show.
Tuesday 8:00 - One Tree Hill 9:00 - Gossip Girl
This was a tough one. Personally, I would love to do away with both shows. OTH and GoGi are kind of in the same boat as far as shows go, so a match up of the two seems to make sense. OTH has proven it can't anchor a night or face any kind of competition, and Gossip Girl can't seem to do anything either, but maybe putting them together will bring some kind of solid consistency with their audiences and demos. Both slots can also be used for possible mid season shows as well.
Wednesday 8:00 - America's Next Top Model/Beauty And The Geek 9:00 - Reaper
ANTM is a no brainer, but Reaper has shown potential, and has shown that it could possibly hold on to that potential with a better rated lead in. Girlie shows that have followed ANTM have not done well, so maybe a show unlike those would?. After all, SN did very well after Gilmore Girls in it's first season. Plus, Wednesdays at 9 are not as fierce as Reaper's current slot up against House and DWTS results show.
Thursdays 8:00 - Smallville 9:00 - Supernatural
Don't fix what isn't really broke. Obviously, SN is in what is, undoubtedly, the time slot from you know where. The fact that is does as well as it does with the competition is quite amazing, really. It's the best rated 9 show on the network. No other show on the network could do what SN is doing in that slot. Nor could they possibly launch a new show that could do as well. It's also a testament to SN that it has grown and held on to an audience with a third popular show thrown into the mix(The Office), and the fact that the last two weeks it has also dealt with the World Series in many areas. It is the 2nd highest rated 'scripted' show on the entire network, This proves the show has got legs, staying power, and a devoted fan base. Plus, it does really well in the DVR thing. And Smallville?. It's been doing great this year. Tom Welling, Erica Durance, and John Glover are all signed for an 8th season, and the producers have said that they have the show planned thru an 8th year. SV does boffo numbers in the DVR thing as well.
Friday 8:00 - Friday Night Smackdown
Obviously, nothing needs to be done there
