networkgame2.proboards57.com/index.cgi?I think I'm going to move it here. That site is a site I run which is called Television & Movie Empire. It has 2 different games of "Make Your Own TV Network Game" and then a game of "Fantasy Box Office". I play at all 3 games (I own the site), and its pretty self-explantatory; in the TV Network games, you make a network, cast your shows, make your shows, promote etc., and then there are daily ratings, just like in the real TV world. Then the same is with Fantasy Box Office, instead of tv ratings, but movie box office. dec78, i don't know if your interested or not, but it seems like you like TV a lot. anyway, im going to make a new forum there for The TV Ratings Archive, so its easier b/c then those 4 things are right there on the same site. So if you want to join you can but it won't be ready for a bit. I know it won't be its "own" site anymore, but I think its easier to be in one place with everything else, and then if you end up wanting to join one of those games (if your interested), then it'll all be at the same spot.

and i know this may seem like a horrible idea b/c its not our own forum anymore, but it gives me easier access to update all of the shows since its all in 1 place.

It sounds really interesting. I will have to go check it out. As for the ratings forum, whatever is easiest for you.

Really cool site. Just joined. So, you can just create your own network and everything?. How do you get started?. I see the forums, but I don't see how to start your own network thread. I'm tired. Maybe I'm just not focusing right this morning. Lol.

Are you interested in making your own network? If you are then I can just explain the rules and everything about making it. If your interested thats good b/c we have 1 open space left in the first game.

First thing is.. if you are willing to play you have to promise me you will be active. We've gone through like 3 people who joined and then basically floated off into oblivion, lol. You dont need to be on the board at all times but atleast check the site everyday, or whenever you can; stay active. Anyway, you sign up and create your own TV network. You must come up with a name (ex: The WB, NBC, etc.), and you will get your own forum. You must put together a programming schedule much like the regular nets (Mon-Sat 8-11pm, Sun 7-11pm). Your programming must consist of original shows (that you have created), while you can also pick up failed pilots from the real nets using The Futon Critic's dev watch section. You can also pick up shows that just got cancelled but they can't be really old shows. They must be from this past season (the current season we are in), and last summer. So if a show got cancelled during last summer or or this season so far, you can pick it up. So you put together your schedule, and then you must advertise in the Advertising Board. Your going to need to do advertising to ensure some good ratings, but obviously with the real TV ratings, you never know when something will be a hit or not! .. but you must try to advertise as much as you can to get as much of a possible chance at a hit! and then once your network debuts, you will start to get ratings, which is just like the regular ratings: overnight, viewers #, adults 18-49 demo. And it's as simple as that. And then you run your network just like the real TV nets do. So are you guys 100% sure your intersted and that you'll stay active?

Sounds interesting. I may have to brush up on the viewers #, and demos. How you get those numbers, since I have always just done, you know, "Okay, it got 3.72 million!". Lol. But it shouldn't be too hard I imagine. And we decide what ratings the shows get?. I could check the site everyday or, at the most, every other day. I've been thinking long and hard about this since I found your site. I already have the name my network and a handful of shows to start off with. Do the schedules have to go to 11?. My network would be along the lines of WB and CW, and it was always news at 10. If not, that's okay. I can always think of some new shows to put in the 10-11 slot. Could Saturday night be like movie night?. Also, does it happen in real time?. I mean, would it have to be March when it premieres, or can it be whenever you want it to be like fall?. Do you do rerun ratings too and hiatuses?.

I can stay active but sometimes not everyday. My Network name is: UEN (United Entertaiment Network) and i already have a Logo! Can i be like fox or MyNetworkTV or CW? Air 8pm-10pm from mon-sat and 7pm-10pm on sun? And when does the TV season start? July? Aug? Dec? Jan? I already know about demo, ratings, share and viewers so no worries. One thing, does each night have more of one type of people: like Monnday has less adults and friday more old people?
