Maybe Dawnie jumped the gun on this one. They even paraded it on MTV and it didn't work. One of it's competitors, Bionic Woman, was down nearly 2 million viewers too. Still, didn't help. GoGi's competition isn't that tough either. I really don't know what else they can do.

Early number for last night - 2.55 million
It perked up a little, but 2.55 million is still not saying much.

I would've thought the lack of competition last night would've helped it. I don't understand how so many people are tuning out of Top Model.

Gossip's final # of 2.95 million makes it the second highest rated episode so far. It will be interesting to see how upcoming episodes do. GoGi got a bit of a bump up to 2.8 million with help from the highest rated ep of ANTM. It hits 2.95 million after the 2nd highest rated ep of ANTM. Will GoGi's perk up continue if ANTM holds the ratings it got?.

Hopefully!
Also, GG hit a 2.1/5 in A18-34, with 70% retention out of Model's 3.0/8, which is really good!

I'm sort of worried that Gossip Girl's base audience is in the low 2 million range and anything above that is viewers that came from ANTM.
Hopefully Gossip Girl can benefit from this Writer's Strike since 14 episodes were produced, meaning the last few episodes will probably air against repeats or reality, but I maybe wrong.

It got 2.4 million this past week, pretty bad, and it fell from the past 2 weeks which were doing good (3 million, 2.9 million). Hopefully it does good on the 19th's episode, but if Crowned bombs.. yikes..

GoGi seems, at times, to be pretty dependent on ANTM. ANTM gets 2 eps in a row over 5 million, GoGi goes up to the very high 2 millions. ANTM drops, GoGi drops drastically. If GoGi isn't getting the numbers it should based on all the promos and all the talk that it is supposedly getting(most of which seems to just be coming from Dawn), then it could be a real bloodbath once ANTM is gone. Even if Crowned does well, it isn't going to do ANTM numbers.

It's too bad this show isn't doing better. It's SOOOO good! It's definitely a guilty pleasure.

Final Rating for Christmas episode - 1.8 million.
Wow. I knew it would take a hit without ANTM and Crowned being a lead in, but I wasn't expecting anything this awful. Crowned also had 1.8 million. I've heard some people say they didn't know it was a new episode, but devoted fans seem to know everything, especially when a new episode airs. How many of GoGi's viewers so far are devoted fans?. How many are just there because it's on after the highly rated ANTM?. It will be interesting to see how the DVR numbers did.

From Pifeedback.com: And the CW capped off the evening with the ludicrous Crowned: The Mother of all Beauty Pageants (Viewers: #5, 1.80 million; A18-49: #5, 0.8/ 2) and Gossip Girl (Viewers: #5, 2.34 million; A18-49: #5, 1.1/ 3). Gossip Girl posted its best ratings in five weeks in total viewers, adults 18-34 (1.5/4), women 18-34 (2.1/6), women 18-49 (1.6/4) and aforementioned adults 18-49. And Gossip Girl rose to its best teen (1.8/6) and female teen (3.2/11) ratings since Nov. 28, 2007. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GG did a lot better than last week, something to woo about.

In a sense. Then again, most anything would probably of grown out of Crowned. Lol. I heard there were casting sessions already going on again for Crowned. Can you believe it?!.
