Me too. And that demo is nice. A recent article talked about it and they said that someone at the CW has to be very happy with this.

Final Number for "Red Sky at Morning" - 3.01 million viewers, a 1.1 in the 18-34 demo and a 1.3 in the 18-49 demo. Retention out of Smallville was the usual 65%.

While I wish it was higher, I am just happy that it is staying above 3 million. That's a dip of 230,000 from last week, but CSI had that big crossover episode with Without A Trace. But look at it this way - SN beat Beauty And The Geek, Reaper, and Gossip Girl for the week by a landslide. It beat Reaper in both 18-34 and 18-49 demos, and beat Gossip in the 18-49 demo by a tenth. Not too shabby if you ask me.

Eric Kripke is on the picket line and he talked with a blogger who went to see him. The good news is that he says he is feeling "good vibes" about a season 4. He says he isn't so worried about a season 4 like he was with season 3.

I know!. I am at my breaking point!. This "Christmas" episode is going to be off the charts. Season 3 has been phenomenal so far. The CW really needs to step up and act like they care about the smartest, hippest, coolest, most thilling, well written/acted/directed show on their network. SN is their Buffy.
Also, Kripke said the nerds from season 1's "Hell House" will be returning. They apparently have a reality show like Ghost Hunters on Sci-Fi, and this episode is devoted to them and completely shot in "Blair Witch/Shakey hand cam" style. Kind of like what The X Files did when they did that "Cops" episode. Season 3(and the show)just keeps getting better and better!.

^^That sounds AMAZING!
I guess having so many repeats is a good thing though; more episodes leftover to use during the strike.

Early number for "A Very Supernatural Christmas" - 3.20 million
This is a winner for me. SV was down a lot more than normal. It's lowest rated episode so far this season by 540,000 viewers. And yet, SN holds on, and grows from it's last two episodes!. Just more proof that this show has a solid fan base(than can still grow)and that it is not entirely dependent on SV. I don't think too many shows on the CW can do what SN does.

SN's last episode until April did 3.23 million. Woo hoo!. The CW FINALLY released a press release on SN for it's great ratings. First time all year!. It's about time the CW showed some more appreciation for the best show it's got.

That was great episode. Mike Ausiello of tv guide, says it maybe have actually saved the show for another year. Execs at the cw were impressed it stood up to AI on a repeat at 8pm. Achieved high demo for the night without Smallville. I think Supernatural may anchor a night night year. Tuesday.
Alot of things are working in its favor. 1. High US Dvd sales. 2.The show sells extremely well overseas in Asia. 3. Its the number one show requested by soliders in Iraq. 4. Its approaching syndication numbers, the cw could the series into cable end of next year. 4 reasons 4 seasons.

It's time that the CW stood up and noticed what this show has done and continues to do in such an impossible slot. It's proved a few times that it is obviously not dependable on Smallville.
You are right about all those things. SN does very well in the foreign market. I've read that it's on par(or better)in some places than American Idol!. Plus, SN does very well in the Live +7 #'s. The episode before last, "Mystery Spot", got another 439,000, raising it's grand total from 2.97 million to 3.41 million.
There is no doubt in my mind that SN could anchor a night, although it's gotten bloodier and violent this season, so I don't know if it would be an "8" show or not.

Your right, I forgot about 8pm 'guideline' Shows sometimes told to tone down things, become less graphic.
