Lex would occasionaly pop up, and Lana isn't really needed. Who knows? Maybe she dies in the season finale. And I have a feeling SV will bounce back. If not this season, then next season. The CW needs SV so that they can introduce a new show after it and hopefully make a new hit. All that to say, I think season 8 is still a definite possibility.

I thinked he signed it back in the beginning, didn't he?
If they make a S8, I hope it's good.

I hadn't heard anything about signing on for an 8th season. I known John Glover said something about being signed for 2 more years. If Glover is, then I guess Welling would have to be.
Season 6 was half good, half REALLY good. It's still the CW's #1 scripted show. I don't think they will use it to launch a new show. That slot after it is brutal. It's a testament to how good Supernatural is that it has done as well as it has. Putting a new show there might be a massacre.
I think season 7 will be great. It's already sounding like it will be better. Supergirl is coming, and I heard Dean Cain will finally make an appearance this year. I think it can go 8 seasons as long as the ratings hold up.

Supergirl and Dean Cain would make SV Season 7 great but I hope there is still some more progress in the Superman story.
