Well last nights episode (October 30, 2007) grew out of Beauty and the Geek, is that the first?

No. Reaper actually grew out of BATG with it's first 3 episodes. This is the 4th time Reaper has done better than BATG.

The show got 2.6 milion despite a crappy lead-in, so that's good. I think it has a loyal audience of about 2.6 million.

It does seem to have a loyal fan base, be it as small as it is. Still, that's good, and I think it has the potential to do better if it had a better lead in. A Reaper/Supernatural team up next season could be a strong possibility. Reaper doesn't appear to always be dependent on BATG, as it has grown out of it a lot. So, Reaper could possibly be able to hold it's own as an achor show for the night, and have SN on at 9. With the way SN's ratings have been, it has a loyal fan base and it's core audience is there and staying there. I imagine they would follow wherever SN went. The fact that it does so well with that competition is amazing, so it could be a walk in the park to be on Tuesdays at 9 only up against House. I really wouldn't be surprised if this happens.

I'm hoping paired with One Tree Hill will bring in new viewers to Tuesday night on the CW because Beauty and the Geek is doing Reaper no favors.

I hope so too, but OTH is worrisome as well. It has a rabid fan base but, for some reason, doesn't equal big ratings. OTH is the kind of show that needs a lead in instead of being THE lead in, even tho having a good lead in didn't always work for the show either. Basically, I just want the best for Reaper.

I don't want to blame Beauty and the Geek, but I'm just wondering what kind of results Reaper would get if it followed America's Next Top Model or Smallville. Reaper shows that it isn't loosing viewers in its half-hour breakdowns so that should be a good sign.

Also, I think you should update the Reaper picture in the first post, it seems so outdated since Nikki Reed isn't part of the show anymore.

Yeah.. the finals Reaper got 2.62 mil. Pretty good! Better than BATG's lackluster #s

The fact that Reaper did better than the big finale of BATG is pretty good. The CW is continuing with another round of BATG(for some reason), so there is no reason they shouldn't keep Reaper going. I think it will get a 2nd season. I don't know how compatible Reaper would be with ANTM, but a Reaper/Supernatural pairing makes sense. Heck, maybe even Reaper leading off a night(Tuesday? Sunday?)might not be a bad idea.

Up to 2.6 million this week.. up 400k from last week's series-low of 2.2 million (ouch!). It also improved upon BATG this week!

That last episode with the introduction of the possibility of dating the devil's daughter was a very good episode before hiatus.
